A price range, with the math
We show the parts cost, the usual labor hours and your area's shop rate, so you can see where the number comes from. Every result says how sure we are: high, medium or low confidence.
Is it due yet?
We check each line against your car's factory maintenance schedule. Anything that isn't on it gets flagged, so you can ask the shop why they want it now.

Questions
Does TwoQuote diagnose my car?
No. It can't see or hear your car. It checks the price on a quote, whether each item is on your car's maintenance schedule, and what to ask. If something sounds or feels wrong, a mechanic needs to look at it.
Where do the price ranges come from?
Parts prices for your car, typical labor hours for the job and shop labor rates for your area. It's an estimate, and each result shows its confidence. Rare jobs, luxury cars, diesels and EVs usually get lower confidence, and we say so.
What if my quote comes back high?
Ask the questions on your result. There can be good reasons: OEM parts, rust, or higher rates near you. If the answers don't add up, get a second quote.
Does it ever say a quote is fair?
Yes. When the price is in range, the result says Fair. We'd rather tell you to pay a fair quote than invent a problem.
Will it work for my car?
It works best on common cars and common jobs like brakes, belts, alternators and fluids. If we're not sure, we'll tell you instead of guessing.
Is my quote private?
We use your quote to run your check. We don't sell your data, and you can delete any check from your history.
What does it cost?
The first check is free. You see the price verdict, whether the work is needed, and how sure we are. The full report is $7.99 for one quote. Three reports are $17.99. Both are one-time charges.
